March is a bittersweet month for Jr. El Tour. First and foremost it marks the end of 6 month journey with a great group of kids, their families, mentors, volunteers and coaches. It is the culmination of months of hard work and perseverance and the celebration of a job well done.
This year, we celebrated the last ride and end of the season with a potluck at Brandi Fenton Park. It was a great opportunity to say goodbye and celebrate the accomplishments with lots of good food, fun and friendship.
Yet as sad as ending the season is, it also the time when we look forward to the next season and getting a whole new group to start the journey again. One of the great things about Jr. El Tour is that there is incredible participation through the mentor program of kids who have gone through the program in the past. We are excited to continue this tradition moving forward.
Thanks everyone for a great season!
